This episode is bananas! Jim from “Savage FINCast” and “Legion of Substitute Podcasters” joins Alan and Paul to discuss the 1968 version of “Planet of the Apes.” It’s a significant film today in part because it spawned one of the first sci-fi franchises, with four film sequels, a live-action series, and a Saturday morning cartoon.
“Forbidden Planet” (1956) was not the first sci-fi film of the 1950s, but its influence can’t be denied, as Alan and Paul find out.
