Lights! Camera! Robots!

In the mid-1980s, some of Japan’s most talented animators came together to create “Robot Carnival,” a feature film anthology of eight short films loosely tied together with a robotics theme. Join Alan, Jim, PJ, Drü, and Drew in a long but fun discussion about the influential anime feature.

“Robot Carnival” was the first anime film to be created without splicing together episodes from a series, but there’s more to the story than that. Many of the creators involved in making the movie have significantly impacted later anime films.
